Our targets
- Promoting sustainability: We are campaigning for more companies and consumers to choose sustainable wooden packaging in order to reduce the use of single-use plastic and cut CO2 emissions.
- Education and awareness: We raise awareness of the ecological, economic and social benefits of wooden packaging through educational programs and campaigns.
- Research and development: We support research and development projects that aim to develop innovative and more environmentally friendly packaging solutions.
- Network development: We have a strong European network of members, partners and stakeholders and are expanding it to share knowledge, exchange best practices and promote joint initiatives.
- Influencing policy and standards: We work with policy makers to promote sustainable packaging solutions and support the development of standards that drive sustainability in the packaging industry.
Why wooden packaging?
Traditional wooden packaging offers numerous advantages over packaging materials made of plastic or cardboard:
- Sustainability: Wood is a renewable raw material whose use contributes to CO2 reduction when forests are managed responsibly.
